When Freedom Landed in our Hands

121st celebration of independence day. It's not just a simple event but a significant memory that every Filipino always recapture.

Everybody wants to be free. Everyone has the right to act or speak of what he or she wants without any hindrance. Everybody claims for freedom.

Our ancestors who have experienced colonization, fought for our freedom and now, we gladly have it. They have given their sweat and sacrifices for our country in order to be free and now, it is already in our hands. Celebrating this day means a lot to all Filipinos. Celebrating this day already shows our gratitude to our beloved Filipino heroes who made the possibility of  us experiencing this freedom.

We have now the freedom, and also the responsibility not to take it for granted. We are being heard and can stand on our own feet. We are given the liberty to choose what to pursue in life. And we are free enough to stand with our own thoughts and ideas.

In the present, we are now free and independent because of what the past has been through. And in just celebrating independence day, we already show how thankful and contented we are on what we have today. We already show and speak out that freedom landed in our own hands.

To be better, to learn and discover new things that will surely help me to achieve it. Someday, I will live up to my dreams in order to succeed. I'll be what I want to.
